The day I wore birds in my hair

First off, let me just say that I'm angry at myself for having accidentally deleted all the comments in my last 2 posts. I thought I was in the spam page, checked "all" and as I was pressing the delete button, I realized I was in the regular comments section, grrr! Fortunately, it deleted the comments in that page and not all of them in my whole blog, phew. So, I apologize if you left a comment and is now missing :/.

Now let's dive into the weekend, shall we? Yesterday we went to a comic convention in LA called Stan Lee's Comikaze. We were a group of 6, none of which is really into comics, but David had bought cheap tickets on Groupon months ago, so off to LA we went. It was kind of fun. There were lots people in costumes and we got to see Adam West and Burt Ward, my favorite Batman and Robin, the original ones! They were charging to get their autographed photo, so we passed. Everything was overpriced so we came home empty handed. 

After that, we all had dinner together and then headed back home, where we watched a movie starring Jim Carrey and Ewan MacGregor called "I Love You, Phillip Morris". I had never heard of it before; it was weird and it was weirder to know that that story actually happened. Has any of you seen it?

But anyway, this is an outfit post. So, this is what I wore on Saturday. I figured there were going to be a lot of people in disguises, so I could be a little bit more playful why my outfit, that's why I decided to add a couple of flowers and bird to my hairdo.

I wanted to take advantage of the sales and coupons at Michaels before they came to an end and bought a bunch of fake flowers and a pack if two birds (and a few more goodies I'll share with you later). I just use pliers to trim the flowers, I was planing to use them all, but I didn't like the way I looked, so I ended up wearing only two.

 

As for the dress, it's vintage. We bought it on Wasteland on our last trip to Hollywood last winter when we took our teenage niece on a tour as a birthday present. And the green booties are from Argentina; they were comfortable enough considering we were standing and walking for hours.
