Now let's dive into the weekend, shall we? Yesterday we went to a comic convention in LA called Stan Lee's Comikaze. We were a group of 6, none of which is really into comics, but David had bought cheap tickets on Groupon months ago, so off to LA we went. It was kind of fun. There were lots people in costumes and we got to see Adam West and Burt Ward, my favorite Batman and Robin, the original ones! They were charging to get their autographed photo, so we passed. Everything was overpriced so we came home empty handed.
After that, we all had dinner together and then headed back home, where we watched a movie starring Jim Carrey and Ewan MacGregor called "I Love You, Phillip Morris". I had never heard of it before; it was weird and it was weirder to know that that story actually happened. Has any of you seen it?
I wanted to take advantage of the sales and coupons at Michaels before they came to an end and bought a bunch of fake flowers and a pack if two birds (and a few more goodies I'll share with you later). I just use pliers to trim the flowers, I was planing to use them all, but I didn't like the way I looked, so I ended up wearing only two.
And to close this post, here are a few photos taken at the convention. I saw a mameshiba, hehe.
Hope you all have a wonderful week! ;D

I saw the movie...it was REALLY weird!! And one Argentine magazine gave it 5 stars :S
Kisses from Argentina!
Qué lindo lugar! Me encantaron los muñequitos!! Beso! :)
Your hair looks beautiful like that. I so envy dark thick hair. My frizzy brown hair inspires me to think nasty thoughts and contemplate ripping it out.
I've always wanted to go to a comic convention...mostly for the Pokemon things. Eh. One day.
When I saw the title of this post, I was concerned! I thought you tried to put falcons in your hair, but I'm glad to see that wasn't the case. Whew. :) And your birds are so lovely.
I love comic book conventions. For a geek like me, it's like coming home.
Miki! I love this outfit so much!! I'm glad you posted it. That dress is so awesome and looks so good on you. I love your flowers, birds, and fun shoes too :) Looks like a fun outing!
jajaja muy original TODO!
me alegro de que hayas corrido tus límites, aprovechando la oportunidad :D
i spy "dorothy!" haha.
Holy moly Miki - I am LOVING this post! The dress, the flowers, the hair - so so perfect.
Comic convention - my hubs would be in heaven. I've always wondered about these things. And wait - you saw Adam West and Burt Ward!!!! Ok, I may be a total geek here, but I was obsessed with Batman and Robin - the original show like for my whole childhood. I still watch it actually...haha. Now that is cool!
Have a marvelous week Miki! xo Marisa
Aww, you look adorable as usual, dear!
Thanks for sharing the cool pictures, I am not a huge comic freak but I would love to go to a convention. David would love this too!
I have heard the title of that movie but I haven't seen it yet!
Have a wonderful week, dear!
Miki, what a coincidence. My son, from Dallas, flew out and went to the same comic book convention!!! He's an artist for a video gaming company and their game , Verticus, was shown. He had his pic taken with Stan Lee.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
you remind me of frida kahlo in these photos. :D
Your vintage dress here is stunning on you, especially with youre beautiful dark hair! Lovely!!xx
Hi Miki!
It seems you had a good time there and let me tell you can continue wearing birds in your head... thy do look fine!
Regarding the movie you mention, if I don't remember wrong, I tried to watch it once but found it really awful and decided to stop... did you like it?
Is there any film you've recently seen that you could recommend?
Enjoy the weekend
