Hello, everybody! How was your weekend? Hope you had time to have fun and relax and are now ready to start another week filled with energy. As for us, we went to Long Beach to see Meiko this Saturday :D; I'm happy to have finally seen her live! She's from California, but we hadn't been able to see her till now.
Since the show was in a record store, it was very intimate; there weren't many people and I was able to squeeze in to the front left of the stage. I was surprised by how well her voice sounds; I'll share the only video I recorded at the end of this post, but it really doesn't do her justice.
After the show she took the time to say hi to people and sign their CDs and posters.
There's a picture of us together, but guess what? I don't like the way I look in it so I won't publish it, haha. I was happy to find she's really cool, sort of dorky and very humble. I told her how I got to know her through MySpace over 4 years ago and a couple of other things, she asked a question or two and said some people call her Miki, hehe. Of course I got my CD and poster signed :p.
After that, we browse through the records and books in the store, but didn't buy anything; everything was kind of pricy. I'm really looking forward to going back to Long Beach, we saw lots of neat looking cafes, restaurants and hotels there.

Aah! That show looks awesome! I love her music, but have never managed to see her live(perhaps because I live on the opposite end of the world...). I love that this was such an intimate show, it looks like so much fun.
I also don't own her cd yet, so count me in for the amazing giveaway!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed:D
