Some TV ads I like

Hugo Boss Orange. I find it cute. I started liking Sienna Miller after this.

This one’s original.

This is the trailer of “Paper Heart”. It totally made me wanna see the movie.

This is not an actual ad; it’s Veronica from “Better Off Ted” advertising her company Veridian Dynamics. It’s fun.

Código País

Código País is an art/fashion/music fair which is held on a yearly basis. I visited this fair yesterday and took a few pictures.

I liked the one about Wally; it says “You’ve found me!”
These lamps were awesome. I think they were made of paper, the image looked like a projection.
Cheese brûlé!
There were music workshops.
You could listen to different kinds of music.
This was one of the coolest stands. I bought a pretty magazine here. People could write on the walls and on the floor.
The magazine I bought came with a cool pin.
I also bought myself a colorful scarf.

A quiet Saturday afternoon

I didn’t do anything, but I had fun anyway!

I skipped lunch but had tea and strawberry cheesecake.

Apparently, Dimitri wanted some, too, but lucky me, cats can’t eat cheesecake, hehe.

I watched Happy-Go-Lucky once again.
Yes, I have a very old TV set in the dining room.

And I was so bored that I made some cardboard lamps.

We had pizza by candlelight later that day.

Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain is one of my favorite movies ever. I love the way the characters are introduced and the fact that I can totally relate to Amélie. Every time I watch it, I can’t help wondering how I’d be introduced if I were a character in this movie.

If you haven’t seen it, you’ll understand what I mean once you watch the first three minutes of this chunk of the movie:

Miki likes …

• Daydreaming

• Baby talking to pets and telling them secrets

• Eating gummy bears, especially red ones

• Imagining she stars the videos of the songs she listens to

• Believing that one day she’ll see her mother again

In the country

Every Thursday, my mate Agustina and I work in the countryside. It’s a 3-hour ride by van so we have plenty of time to catch up with each other, maybe watch a movie and then take a nap.

As usual, we departed at 1PM, watched a movie (they played a good one this time! “Yes, Man”!) and, once in Saladillo, we started working.

At 8:30PM we went to the hotel with our boss, said hi to the receptionist and made our way to our rooms. I had no idea something crazy was about to happen!

I was given room number 15. I slowly opened the door, turned on the lights and to my surprise there was a pretty pink box on the bathroom sink. I didn’t know whether to give it to the receptionist or open it to check what was inside. Of course, I couldn’t help opening it. I’m so glad I did that! Look at what happened!

If I could pick different features from different people ...

I’d choose …

 b. Jim’s (*) skill to play pranks on people. (*) from the TV series The Office US.

 c. Dougie Payne’s (*) Scottish accent. (*) from Travis.

d. Zooey Deschanel’s looks.

Thank you for writing on my board! ;-)

I write my checklists on the floor.

Spicy beef + rice

• beef
• scallions or leeks
• spices: I used curry, oregano, paprika and dried chilies
• soy sauce
• rice

• Chop the beef into small pieces and place the beef in a bowl; add a small glass of soy sauce and the spices you chose to use.

• Chop the scallions or leeks and add them to the bowl.

• Marinate the beef for 20 minutes. In the meantime, cook the rice (I’m so glad I have a rice cooker!).
• Pre-heat the wok until it’s very hot.
• Add two spoonfuls of oil.
• Stir-fry the beef for 4-5 minutes.
• Serve the rice in a bowl together with the beef and enjoy!

The Monday Blues?

No, No, I don’t know what that is. Why would I?

The sun finally appeared after a quick but strong storm last night.

Two of my students canceled their classes today, so I had plenty of time to spare. Petting Dimitri was one of the most important things I did this morning, hehe.

I could have lunch at home, which I don’t always do.
Yeah, I know, I could’ve cooked something more elaborate, but eeeh …

I even got to use a very “fancy” napkin =P.

After lunch, I browsed through a nice fashion magazine.

And now, at 3PM, I’m definitely ready to go to work!

Cheering strangers up

Every Thursday I go to the countryside and spend a night in a charming hotel. I decided that it was a good idea to drop a few rosettes with nice messages there, so I hid them all over the hotel room.

I was a bit bored on Thursday night, so I stuck a few pictures on the mirror to keep myself company, hehe.

Once back home, I thought it was a good idea to put some rosettes in envelopes.

My next location: the shopping mall!

I hung the envelopes in different bathrooms and fitting rooms.
It was fun to try on clothes in order to get inside the fitting rooms!
I have to admit that I couldn’t help buying some of the clothes I tried on … like this black skirt =/.
I hope the positive messages made people smile! =D
